SpectraNote (“SpectraNote,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SpectraNote application, website at https://www.spectranote.ai/, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). SpectraNote is an AI-powered music analysis and transcription service that processes audio and video to generate music-related information and outputs, including musical transcriptions, MIDI, stems, visualizations, BPM, key detection, and related results. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and your choices regarding your information. By using SpectraNote, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Account information. When you create or use a SpectraNote account, we may collect your email address, user ID, authentication information, account status, subscription status, and information you voluntarily provide. We use third-party authentication services to securely authenticate and manage accounts. Uploaded content. SpectraNote allows you to upload audio, video, MIDI, and other files for processing, including music recordings, stems, performances, and other media. We may temporarily store uploaded files on cloud infrastructure when necessary to provide the Service. Uploaded processing files are automatically deleted within 24 hours and are not retained indefinitely. Local sessions. Sessions, projects, generated files, and related information may be stored locally on your device until you delete them, uninstall the application, or otherwise remove them. Generated content. SpectraNote may generate MIDI files, musical note transcriptions, visualizations, audio stems, BPM, tempo and key information, and other music-analysis results. Payment information. Third-party payment processors handle payments; we may receive limited subscription and transaction information but do not store complete payment card numbers. Technical and usage information. We may automatically collect IP address, device type, operating system, application version, browser information, error logs, usage and processing activity, dates and times of activity, and subscription usage.
We use information to provide and operate SpectraNote; authenticate your account; process uploaded media; generate transcriptions and music-analysis results; provide MIDI, stems, visualizations, BPM, key detection, and related features; maintain subscription and usage limits; process payments; prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and account sharing; diagnose technical problems; improve reliability and performance; respond to support requests; communicate about your account or the Service; comply with applicable laws; and protect SpectraNote, our users, and our systems.
SpectraNote uses artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies to analyze audio and other media. SpectraNote does not use your uploaded audio, video, MIDI, or other User Content to train our AI models. Your uploaded content is processed only to provide the transcription, analysis, conversion, or other functionality you request. We may use aggregated, de-identified, or technical information to monitor system performance, identify errors, improve reliability, and develop the Service. We do not sell your uploaded content.
We may share information with service providers that help operate SpectraNote, including authentication, payment, cloud infrastructure and storage, AI and machine-learning, analytics, error-monitoring, email, customer support, security, and fraud-prevention providers. These providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf. We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or property, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security incidents, or enforce our Terms of Use. If SpectraNote is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as permitted by law.
5. Data Retention
SpectraNote follows different retention periods depending on the information involved. Audio, video, and other files temporarily uploaded for processing are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Sessions, projects, and generated files may be stored locally on your device, and you are responsible for managing and deleting locally stored sessions. Account information may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes. Subscription and transaction records may be retained as necessary for accounting, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and business purposes.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no electronic system or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.
7. Copyright and User Content
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process content through SpectraNote. Do not upload a commercially released recording, another person’s performance, or other copyrighted material unless you have the legal right or authorization to process it. SpectraNote does not determine whether you have the legal right to upload or process a particular recording. You retain ownership of your uploaded content, and using SpectraNote does not transfer ownership of that content to SpectraNote.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal information, information about how personal information is used, objection to certain processing, or a copy of certain information. To submit a privacy request, contact admin@spectranote.ai. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
9. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, California privacy laws may provide additional rights regarding your personal information, including rights to know what personal information is collected, access information, request deletion or correction, obtain information about certain disclosures, and opt out of certain forms of sale or sharing where applicable. SpectraNote does not sell your personal information. California privacy requests may be submitted to admin@spectranote.ai.
10. Children’s Privacy
SpectraNote is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at admin@spectranote.ai.
11. International Users
SpectraNote may use infrastructure located in the United States and other countries. If you access SpectraNote from outside the United States, your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries whose privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Third-Party Services
SpectraNote relies on third-party services to provide portions of the Service, including authentication, payment processing, cloud infrastructure, storage, analytics, communications, security, and AI/ML processing. Third-party providers may have their own privacy policies and terms. SpectraNote is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties except as required by applicable law.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service, our website, or other appropriate means. The Last Updated date indicates when this Privacy Policy was most recently revised.
